Stephen W. Ferrell
Steve Ferrell is co-founder of FASTEC and serves as the company’s
President. Prior to founding FASTEC, Steve served for two years
as the President of Redlake MASD, the combination of Redlake
Imaging Corporation and Eastman Kodak’s Motion Analysis
Systems Division.
Before managing Redlake MASD, Steve was President of Redlake
Imaging from 1997 to 1999. From 1991 to 1997 he was President
of Redlake Camera, the initial high-speed video camera company
that merged with Transact.Exe in 1997. From 1987 to 1991 Steve
was President of Redlake Corporation, an OTC publicly traded
company making film based ultra-highspeed cameras. In 1991
he led the reverse merger of Redlake with ATEK Information
Systems, an Ohio-based software company providing custom database
and imaging software solutions. As part of the transaction,
Steve purchased the assets of Redlake’s film camera
business. Prior to becoming President in 1987, Steve spent
six years in various operating positions with Redlake, including
director of purchasing, director of manufacturing and COO.
Steve’s broad operating background includes general
management, strategic planning, business development and mergers
and acquisitions. He served as the CEO and managed all aspects
of publicly traded Redlake Corporation. Steve’s industry
experience includes more that twenty years in the ultrahigh-speed
camera, disk drive test equipment, video database systems,
high-speed digital video camera and PC display businesses.
Steve earned a BA from UC Berkeley in 1976.
