Record rapid processes at up to 506 fps at 1280 x 1024 full resolution and up to 112,000 fps at reduced resolution. The software-based ImageBLITZ® Auto Trigger makes it easy to capture random events; any change in the "region of interest" will stop the recording and save the event sequence. And the Burst Trigger Mode allows users to capture multiple image recordings in the memory without downloading. The HiSpec’s robust design and the industry’s smallest form factor makes the camera an ideal solution for easy operation in virtually any industrial or laboratory environment.

Food processing and production machines in many industries represent significant financial investments, are very complex and operate at high speeds. Quality, traceability and regulatory compliance are becoming more challenging and high-speed cameras are an indispensible aid to engineers and quality personnel in the operation of these machines.

Cartoning and case erecting, coding and marking, forming/ filling/sealing, labeling, adhesive applying, bagging/filling/sealing, blister filling/sealing, blow molding, capping, conveying, feeding/inserting, flow wrapping, pouching and shrink wrapping machines all operate at high speeds and need continual monitoring, adjustments and maintenance to operate at peak throughput.

Cereal Manufacturer

A leading breakfast cereal manufacturer was experiencing a high number of rejected cereal bags. A filler/sealer machine’s PLC timing was off by 30 milliseconds so that the bag heat sealing commenced before the filling had stopped. As a result cereal was caught in the seal. At 500 frames per second, 2 milliseconds per picture, the engineers were able to get more than 15 images at the end of the process. They were able to adjust the PLC timing so that dwell time was at a minimum and thus ensure that the maximum throughput of 200 bags per minute production was met without the sealing problem.
